Festive Gardens

Step into the world of cinema magic as the Chelsea and Maxell Gardens are transformed with dazzling lights and festive movie projections, creating a captivating “Night at the Movies” experience.

Follow the trail and immerse yourself in iconic holiday film moments, featuring interactive displays, heart-warming movie scenes, festive music at the bandstand, and even a few surprises from your favourite Christmas characters. Don’t miss the playful elves making appearances as you explore.

The Olive Bar will be in attendance serving hot dogs and non-alcoholic drinks at family-friendly prices – you can beat the queue and pay for your food while you’re booking your tickets!

The Brick People

Love LEGO®?

We’re delighted to be welcoming The Brick People to Telford Balloon Fiesta, who’ll be offering a wide range of LEGO® related activities.

The event consists of various LEGO® activity tables, some containing self-building activities including mosaic building and random brick building, along with tables featuring monitored activities such as a timed tower build and small model builds, where names of the challengers are written on a leaderboard for the day for all to see. There are also a selection of amazing official and unofficial LEGO® creations by The BRICK People and the wider LEGO® hobbyist community.

Come along to enjoy a series of free-flow workshops including:

SPEED BUILD – Think you’ve got good skills? Try the speed build challenge.
RACEWAY – Build a vehicle to race down our track made with LEGO® and make it to the bottom!
MOSAICS – Create a mosaic using LEGO® DOTS and add your design to the mosaic display
TIMED TOWER – How tall can you make a tower with LEGO® in just 1 minute?
YOUNG BUILDERS – LEGO® DUPLO® bricks to keep the youngest builders occupied!
EXHIBITOR DISPLAYS – The BRICK People are connected to a large network of LEGO® enthusiasts from all over the country and some of their most wonderful creations will be on display.

 

Comedy Club 4 Kids

Since 2005, the Comedy Club 4 Kids has been getting the best stand-ups and sketch acts from the international circuit to do their thing for an audience of children (aged 6+) and their families… but without the rude bits! A decade later, the company has expanded from one London residency to being countrywide, running shows and workshops all over the UK from Peebles to Portsmouth, even producing a book on how to write and perform stand-up. The show is family friendly, but without any patronising idiocy. In fact, it’s just like a normal comedy club, but it’s on in the day, kids are allowed in, and thus there is a higher than usual chance of heckles like “why is that your face!?”

Balloon Fiesta Night Glow – Wheelchair Accessible Area

Join us for a spectacular evening of entertainment at the 2024 Night Glow event.

The Night Glow event starts off the Balloon Fiesta weekend with balloons from across the country of all shapes and sizes in the arena.

Gates open at 5pm with family entertainment throughout the evening leading up to Night Glow.

8.45 – NEW for 2024 SPARK! Drum and Light Show
9.30pm NIGHT GLOW

Night Glow will see balloons tethered in the arena and lit up in time to music, and this year the theme is A Night At The Movies! We can’t wait.

In addition there will also be circus workshop, crafts, have-a-go activities and more.

You are welcome to bring picnic chairs, food and non-alcoholic drinks into the arena.

The Comedy Of Errors

Pedalling from venue to venue with all of their set, props and costumes on the back of their bikes, the HandleBards are a four-strong troupe of actors who are spending the summer bringing environmentally sustainable Shakespeare to venues across the UK.

Join the troupe in Bowring Park for a bicycle-powered production of Shakespeare’s ‘The Comedy of Errors’ like you’ve never seen before. When two sets of estranged twins are brought together on the same island, this classic comedy takes hold, with mistaken identity, music and manic costume changes a plenty.

This is an outdoor production, so please bring a chair or blanket to sit on, a picnic to dig into, and dress for the weather!

The Adventures of Doctor Dolittle

Doctor Dolittle leads a simple life as the village doctor in sleepy Puddleby-On-The-Marsh. He often undercharges his patients, or even treats them for free, so he is terribly poor. But one day, with the help of his wise old parrot Polynesia, he makes an extraordinary discovery: that he can talk to animals.

As news of his talent as an animal doctor spreads, animals across the world send messages asking for his help. So he borrows a leaky old ship and embarks on a thrilling quest to cure illness, spread kindness, and better understand animals everywhere.

Zog

Large in size and keen in nature, Zog is eager to win a golden star at Madam Dragon’s school, where dragons learn all the things that dragons need to know.  Zog tries so very hard, perhaps too hard, and he bumps, burns and roars his way through years one, two and three.  Luckily, the plucky Princess Pearl patches him up ready to face his biggest challenge yet…a duel with knight, Sir Gadabout the Great!

The smash-hit stage adaptation from Freckle Productions (the team behind Zog and the Flying Doctors and Stick Man) is back and promises to be bigger, brighter and more roar-some than ever before!
