Robin Hood Rescues The Forest

In his bid to finally rid Sherwood Forest of outlaws the evil Prince John has decided to burn it down.

However, our eponymous hero has other ideas! With much cunning and more than a little help from the peasants, and even time for a spot of Morris dancing, Robin outwits his Highness.

This is a very interactive production filled with music and humour that combines “myths and legends” with an important study of ecology and the environment.

The Gingerbread Man

A real treat for the very young as they join our hero on his adventurous journey in search of somewhere better. Some amusing characters are encountered on the way but not all are as friendly as they may appear. Finally, our champion learns that there is no place quite like home.

Songs and music abound in this production designed specifically for children and their families.

Mr Sleepybum’s Dream Machine

The Railway Children

No Wifi. No Xbox. And water from a well?! This definitely isn’t normal.

Bobbie (that’s me), Peter & Phyllis (ow! Stop pinching me) – I mean Phil – have been swept off to the English countryside by our Mom, who is suddenly far too busy to play with us.

Left to explore our new home, (if you can call it that), it’s not long before the railway calls from the bottom of the garden. As we follow the tracks to the local station, we discover a whole new world full of strange characters, romance (stop retching, Peter), peril and questions that definitely need answering!

What to get Mr Perks for his birthday when we can’t even afford sweets? Why is the 08.11 always late? And where has Dad gone anyway?

Come join us as we tell our story, our way.

Fresh from their 2025 tour of The Wind in the Willows (“Fun, funny and utterly charming”) and The Wizard of Oz (“”Utterly entrancing. A great mix of charm and sophisticated wit” ) Paperback Theatre returns to tour the UK with a brand new adaptation of E. Nesbit’s The Railway Children by Charis McRoberts.

The Wind In The Willows

“There’s a world outside and I want to see it!”

Mole has been stuck inside for far too long. Finally escaping their underground home they team up with good friends Ratty, Badger and the loveably roguish Toad on an adventure to blow away the winter cobwebs. Mole and the gang must go head-to-head with a motor-car, His Majesty’s Constabulary and a legion of Weasels, Ferrets and Stoats taking up residence in Toad Hall. Can our plucky band of heroes save the day?

Comedy Club 4 Kids

Since 2005, the Comedy Club 4 Kids has been getting the best stand-ups and sketch acts from the international circuit to do their thing for an audience of children (aged 6+) and their families… but without the rude bits!

A decade later, the company has expanded from one London residency to being countrywide, running shows and workshops all over the UK from Peebles to Portsmouth, even producing a book on how to write and perform stand-up.

The show is family friendly, but without any patronising idiocy. In fact, it’s just like a normal comedy club, but it’s on in the day, kids are allowed in, and thus there is a higher than usual chance of heckles like “why is that your face!?”

Out Of The Box

Out of the Box is a multi-award-winning family show delighting audiences across the UK; an hour of joyful chaos, jaw-dropping skill, and irresistible fun.

Fresh from five-star success at the Edinburgh Fringe and being named Best Family Show at Brighton Fringe, Darryl J Carrington transforms everyday objects into extraordinary adventures. A toothbrush stars in a balancing act, a string sparks a heist, and a tea party lands on someone’s head!

With over 20 years of circus and clowning experience, Darryl’s silent comedy blends world-class juggling, inventive physical theatre, and heartwarming audience interaction. His humour transcends age and language, captivating children, parents, and grandparents alike. But kindness is what makes this show truly special. No one is the butt of the joke and everyone becomes part of the magic.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny

How will they ever escape?  Can Old Mr Bunny come to the rescue in time?  And whatever will Mr McGregor make of all those footprints in the flower beds?

Michael Whitmore’s charming adaptation will have you spellbound so why not grab the kids, a blanket and a picnic and join Peter and Benjamin on their hair-raising adventures  – a magical afternoon of fun for all the family.
