It’s hard to believe it’s over 60 years since Hank B Marvin, Bruce Welch, Jet Harris and Tony Meehan recorded Apache. This was the monster hit that launched the Shadows instrumental career and founded a nation of bespectacled guitarists dreaming of acquiring their very own Fender Stratocaster, so we are delighted to welcome ‘The Bootleg Shadows’ back by popular demand to Telford Theatre.

With their immaculate appearance, synchronised dance movements and clean, pure melodic sound, the Shadows chalked up 35 hits of their own (not counting another 33 hits with Cliff Richard), giving them more hits than any other British group and securing them a unique place in the annals of popular music. 

‘The Bootleg Shadows’ perform a show that encompasses the Shadows amazing career from 1960 up until the early 80s.Including All the hits and popular “Cliff”  vocals including some surprises!

Concert audiences are invited to relive fantastic hits such as Apache, Foot Tapper, Man of Mystery, Atlantis, Wonderful Land, Kon Tiki, Don't Cry for Me Argentina, FBI plus many, many more.

In the company of Geoff, Keith, Tony, Tim and Binks the audience is taken on a tour of the Shadows career, with plenty of humour to make it a night out to remember. For anyone who loves the sounds of the 60's – and enjoys a few laughs on the way – ‘The Bootleg Shadows’ perform a unique tribute that has audiences humming the tunes and doing the Shadows famous 'walk' long after they have left the theatre. 

Money for Nothing was formed in 2000 as a tribute to one of the world’s premier rock bands – Dire Straits. The abundant energy and the excellence and musicality of their performance makes Money For Nothing a “must see” for any rock enthusiast or Dire Straits fan. The line-up features top-class and experienced musicians that make this band a worthy tribute to Dire Straits. The band have studied Dire Straits in great depth to re-create their tribute to be as close as possible to the real thing and a respectful tribute to their idol and guitar legend.

The Money For Nothing stage show has been performed all over Britain and the world, at all types of venues & events – from music festivals, theatres and venues. 2010 saw them headline the main night on Europes Biggest Tribute Festival. The band have also had the pleasure of performing as show opener for the legendary Roy Wood on part of his Theatre Tour. Sept 2011 saw them take their show to India to perform at a sell-out concert where they headlined an event held at one of Bangalore’s largest Amphitheatres. Their special appearance was featured in the world’s largest selling English-language daily newspaper, The Times of India.

Dire Straits are one of the best bands to ever come out of the UK, they have sold in excess of 120 million albums worldwide and were the UK’s first stadium rock band. Their best selling album Brothers in Arms was an international blockbuster selling over 30 million copies and becoming the fourth best selling album in UK chart history. Brothers In Arms was also the first ever CD single, and the first ever album to sell over one million copies on CD. Dire Straits also won numerous awards including, three Brit Awards, four Grammys and two MTV Music Video Awards, and in 2009 they were awarded the Music Heritage Award.

This beautiful production from the producer and director of The award-winning Eva Cassidy Story is an expose of the life Doris Day.

Though her on screen persona was full of romance and secret love, the real story was much more dramatic. With video projection, a swinging jazz band and impeccable vocals, The Doris Day Story is a compelling musical journey through her life, incorporating some of greatest songs: Love Me Or Leave Me, Perhaps Perhaps, Pillow Talk, Black Hills Of Dakota and Move Over Darling, to name a but few. In 2020 when the Government announced Lockdown Gordon decided to appear as himself and present shows on Facebook. These were so successful that he performed every two weeks throughout Lockdown, performing around 1000 songs throughout the period – no other Elvis Tribute Artist could perform such a wide selection of Elvis songs.

The multi-award-winning Irish band The Wild Murphys features the very best traditional Irish musicians playing a thrilling mix of traditional and contemporary tunes guaranteed to have the audience’s hands clapping and toes tapping all night long.

Lee James is widely recognised as the most authentic performer to Tony Hadley, playing across the UK and Europe for over 10 years. Lee has performed with Tony on various occasions, including BBC’s The One Show and is endorsed by Gary Kemp and Tony himself. Martin Kemp when seeing a picture of Lee on Facebook commented “you got it dude!” High praise indeed!!
