Andrew Woodhead is a musician, composer, producer and artist working across a variety of contexts taking in jazz, free improvisation, electronica, folk and new music, as well as creating installation and digital work. He has established himself as a key figure on the UK’s creative music scene, winning the 2014 Dankworth Prize for Jazz Composition and being named ‘One To Watch’ in Jazzwise magazine.

We’re delighted to welcome Andrew, accompanied by two other top-notch jazz musicians, to our Christmas Yurt in Southwater Square on Sunday 7 September from 3pm to 5pm.

This wonderful, award-winning theatre show faithfully re-creates the music, magic and comedy of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Junior at the height of their fame and legendary shows in Las Vegas when they ruled the entertainment world.

Starring TV’s Des Coleman, Tony Martin, and Paul Drakeley, who not only sing like their heroes but physically resemble them on stage, share their unique mannerisms and even talk like they are at the Sands taking part in the summit.

Includes all of the hit songs made popular by the legendary performers!

Based in London, UK ‘Klezmer Foygl’, meaning ‘Klezmer Songbird’ in Yiddish, is an exciting new ensemble playing both traditional and original Klezmer repertoire.

Led by Clarinettist John Macnaughton, and featuring some of the UK’s leading Klezmer musicians, the group is deeply grounded in traditional Yiddish music, whilst simultaneously seeking to innovate upon it, and bring a contemporary London twist to its music.

Members of Klezmer Foygl have played at some of the UK’s leading venues, toured internationally, and performed for television and theater. Including venues such as; BBC Radio Theatre, BBC Maida Vale Studios, The Southbank Centre, Wigmore Hall, The Barbican, Menier Chocolate Factory, and Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival.

Since forming in 2004, Oasish have taken the tribute world by storm. The attention to detail is incredible and many have hailed them as being better than the real thing!

They have performed at Wembley Stadium, The National Indoor Arena, Manchester Academy and are the only band to perform at the now world famous Glastonbudget Festival EVERY single year it’s been running.

The band don’t use cheap imitation copies of the real band’s instruments or clothes either! The “Noel” actually uses the exact same model of guitar, a Gibson ES355, that the real Noel Gallagher plays. 

Amps used are also custom made Hi Watt and vintage Fender amps to recreate that big Oasis sound that became their trademark throughout the 90s.

They are also no strangers to the TV screens either, having appeared on The One Show (BBC), The Gadget Show (Channel 5), Inside Out (ITV), GMTV (ITV), Sky News, The Culture Show (BBC) and numerous other broadcasts all across the television network.

They have also worked alongside big names such as Peter Kay, Jools Holland, Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets), Dodgy and even performed with Shaun Ryder of The Happy Mondays.
